It all started when…

every Sunday, Miri’s dad would religiously take her to carboot sales. With 50p in her pocket she would gladly rummage through the bargain boxes looking for something that caught her eye. Years later, that ‘training’ became the perfect base for her career as a prop buyer, evolving into a set decorator, art director and designer for tv, film and commercials.

It seemed a natural fit to branch into interior design where client’s were looking for something a little ‘out of the ordinary’, where Miri’s experience in managing budgets, sourcing one-off items, installing sets under high pressure deadlines and designing all manner of eras, could inspire bold and exciting interiors for commercial projects.

Now, Miri Katz Design can offer bespoke, in-house furniture and prop builds in the onsite workshop, keeping costs down and timescales short.

Based in Bristol, but working across projects nationwide, Miri Katz Design is always happy to chat about any design project, large or small.
